User Data Deletion

Perseus ("we," "us," or "our") lets you remove data you control in the product and request deletion of account-linked information. This page satisfies Meta (Facebook/Instagram) user data deletion requirements.

1. Clips and jobs

While signed in:

• Completed clips and jobs are removed by an administrator when you email support@perseus.app from the address on your account (include the job name or ID if you have it).
• Failed jobs that are not retried are removed automatically after 48 hours so they do not keep using storage.
• Original source uploads are not kept after processing; only clips you save count toward storage.

2. Disconnect social accounts

Go to Settings → Connected accounts and use Disconnect for TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, or YouTube. This revokes our access token for that platform and marks the connection disconnected in Perseus.

3. Delete your Perseus account

To delete your login, profile, jobs, clips, and publishing data, email support@perseus.app from the address on your account with the subject Delete my Perseus account. We will confirm by email and complete deletion within 30 days (usually sooner).

Include:

• Your Perseus login email
• Whether you also removed Perseus from Facebook/Instagram (optional)
• Any Meta confirmation code from this page (if shown)

4. What we delete

• Account and profile records (Supabase auth / profiles)
• Jobs, clips, thumbnails, and object-storage files tied to your user ID
• Connected social account tokens and publish queue entries

Backups and logs may retain data for a limited period for security and operations, then expire per our retention practices described in our Privacy Policy.

5. Meta data deletion callback

If you remove Perseus from your Facebook or Instagram account settings, Meta may notify us via our data deletion callback (/api/meta/data-deletion). We respond with a confirmation code and this page URL. Complete removal still requires disconnecting accounts in Perseus or emailing us for full account deletion as above.
